Developmental Psychology Coaching & Consulting

Welcome!

I offer developmental psychology coaching and consulting for parents to support the wellness of their children and families. This is not private practice psychological service provision. This is educational support to help you help your child thrive.

Perhaps you’re curious about cognitive developmental milestones for your baby’s first year. Or you’re struggling with the behavioral concerns of toddlerhood. School-age family routines seem like a struggle every single day. Your adolescent struggling with mental health or emotional wellness? You’re finding yourself frustrated and maxed out on parenting strategies. You have questions about your child and ADHD, anxiety, autism, depression, developmental delays, learning disabilities, OCD, sensory processing, or trauma. This is what I’m here for.

I apply my expertise as a developmental psychologist to your everyday parenting challenges. My goals for our work together:

  • I want you to feel confident and capable in your parenting.

  • I want your child to feel courageous and creative in their discovery of the world.

  • I want your family to feel connected and content in your shared time together.

  • I want parent teams to feel calm, clear, and collaborative in your caregiving mission.

If you’re not feeling these C words… you should come talk to me. ☺️

Together, we’ll create change—without asking your child to change a thing.

What does an appointment with Dr. Warsof look like?

I offer coaching/education appointments. This means I do not give individualized clinical advice, but I support you with general/specialized information and education related to what you or your child is experiencing. This sounds like:

  • “When someone presents with the behaviors or symptoms your child has, I generally recommend x, y, and z.”

  • “Though I can’t make a clinical diagnosis, when I observe a child with these behaviors, I typically think of x, y, or z. Let’s talk about what’s next.”

  • “It sounds like your child’s experience might be related to x, y, or z. You can consider these follow-up steps.”

  • “Generally speaking, you’re describing a profile often associated with x, y, or z. I would recommend following up with a clinical provider for an in-person assessment. Until then, here’s what we might do.”

What happens after an appointment with Dr. Warsof?

  • I will always follow-up with a brief written summary of the main points discussed.

  • I will always follow-up with helpful educational materials specialized to your unique concern/struggle.

  • Materials often include: step-by-step action plans, language scripts, supportive strategies and tools, and deeper dives into the topics covered.

What are benefits of a coaching/consulting appointment with Dr. Warsof?

  • I support you with specific and personal guidance and planning. (I do not offer individualized clinical advice, diagnosis, or treatment.)

  • This allows me to meet with you promptly, expanding access to you and your family now, without long waiting periods.

  • You’ll come away with tangible strategies to implement immediately after our appointment, facilitating change that starts now.

You might consider me a first-step approach.

Let’s talk about your concerns—parent support/education may be enough.

If not, we’ll talk about what further in-person assessment and support would be helpful.

Together, you’ll feel more informed and prepared to take the next steps.

Regrettably, I cannot:

  • I cannot be covered by insurance. (This is a limitation of the insurance system, unfortunately.)

  • I cannot meet, observe, or evaluate your child directly if they are under 18.

  • I cannot meet with teachers or other professionals working with your child.

  • I cannot provide official evaluations or recommendations to schools or other programs.

Fortunately, I can:

  • I can meet with parents or caregivers together—let’s build your team together.

  • I can review materials from previous evaluations, assessments, or reviews to provide follow-up information.

  • I can make recommendations for next steps and providers.

  • I can empower you with language, strategies, and talking points for subsequent provider visits.

  • I can work with you on a regular basis to improve your parenting skills and capacity.

  • I can help you see your child as whole, wise, and deeply human—and you as their remarkable, resilient guide.
