Developmental Psychological Services
Support for Positive Parenting & Optimal Child Outcomes
Welcome!
I offer developmental psychological consulting and coaching for parents to support the wellness of your child and family. This is not direct-service psychological intervention. This is psychoeducational service and support to help you help your child thrive now.
Perhaps you’re curious about cognitive developmental milestones for your baby’s first year. Or you’re struggling with the behavioral concerns (meltdowns? tantrums?) of toddlerhood. Do school-age family routines seem like a struggle every day? Is your adolescent struggling with mental health or emotional wellness? Perhaps you’re just tired, frustrated, and maxed out on effective parenting strategies.
Or you might have questions about your child and ADHD, ASD, anxiety, autism, depression, developmental delays, learning disabilities, or sensory processing concerns. How to support their executive functioning. How to foster their social development. How to develop their emotion regulation. What to say and do in the moment to make life more easeful. To feel in control in your parenting. To feel joyful, even! This is what I’m here for.
I apply my expertise as a Licensed Applied Psychologist with a PhD inDevelopmental Psychology to reduce your everyday parenting challenges. My goals for our work together are:
I want you to feel confident and capable in your parenting.
I want your child to feel courageous and creative in their discovery of the world.
I want your family to feel connected and content in your shared time together.
I want your co-parenting partnerships to feel calm, clear, and collaborative in your caregiving mission.
If you’d like to feel confident, capable, connected, and clear in your parenting, I invite you to come talk. ☺️
Together, we’ll create sustainble change—without asking your child to change who they are.

Frequent Concerns
What does a developmental session with Dr. Warsof look like?
I offer coaching/education appointments. This means I do not give individualized clinical advice, but I support you with general/specialized information and education related to what you or your child is experiencing. This sounds like:
“When a child presents with these behaviors or symptoms, I generally recommend x, y, and z.”
“Though not a clinical diagnosis, when I observe a child demonstrating these behaviors, I typically think of x, y, or z. Let’s talk about what’s next.”
“It sounds like your child’s experience might be related to x, y, or z. You can consider these follow-up steps.”
“Generally speaking, you’re describing a profile often associated with x, y, or z. I would recommend following up with a clinical provider for an in-person assessment. Until then, here’s what we might do.”
What happens after a developmental session with Dr. Warsof?
I follow-up with a brief written summary of the main points discussed.
I follow-up with helpful educational materials specialized to your unique concern/struggle.
Materials often include: step-by-step action plans, language scripts, supportive strategies and tools, next-step recommendations, and deeper dives into the topics covered.
What are benefits of a developmental coaching/consulting appointment with Dr. Warsof?
I support you with specific and personal guidance and planning. (I do not offer individualized clinical diagnosis or treatment.)
This allows me to meet with you promptly, expanding access to you and your family now, without long waiting periods.
You’ll come away with tangible strategies to implement immediately after our appointment, facilitating change that starts now.
You might consider me a first-step approach.
Let’s talk about your concerns—parent support and education may be enough.
If not, we’ll talk about what further in-person assessment and support would be helpful.
Together, you’ll feel more informed and prepared to take the next steps.
🚫 Regrettably:
I cannot meet, observe, or evaluate your child directly.
I cannot provide official evaluations or recommendations to schools or other programs.
I cannot meet with teachers or other professionals working with your child.
I cannot work with insurance. (This is a limitation of insurance system, unfortunately.)
✅ Fortunately:
I DO meet with parents or caregivers together—let’s build your team together.
I DO review materials from previous evaluations, assessments, or reviews to provide follow-up information.
I DO make recommendations for next steps and providers.
I DO empower you with language, strategies, and talking points for subsequent provider visits.
I DO facilitate your collaboration with teachers, interventionists, and schools.
I DO work with you on a regular basis to improve your parenting skills and capacity.
I DO offer deeply discounted services for families from historically marginalized backgrounds as reparation.
I DO help you see your child as whole, wise, and deeply human—and you as their remarkable, resilient guide.
